19 July 2022, Djibouti - The Director General of the National Police of Djibouti, Colonel Abdourahman Ali Kahin, officially opened the National Training Workshop organized by the IGAD Security Sector Program on the nexus between illegal immigration and terrorism in the context of the growing transnational security threats faced by the IGAD Member States.
1 July 2022, Entebbe, Uganda: The IGAD Security Sector Program (IGAD SSP) has successfully conducted a five days Regional Training on the Investigation and Prosecution of Drug and Psychotropic Substances, held on 27 June -1 July 2022 in Entebbe, Uganda. The overall objective of the training was to equip trainees with an advanced knowledge and practical skills on the investigation and prosecution of criminal cases in the production and trafficking of drugs and psychotropic substances.
16 June 2022, Entebbe, Uganda: The IGAD Security Sector Program (IGAD SSP) has successfully conducted a Regional Training on the application of mutual legal assistance and extradition frameworks, held on 13-15 June 2022 in Entebbe, Uganda.
31 March 2022, Mombasa-Kenya: The IGAD Security Sector Program (IGAD SSP) has successfully concluded a three-days regional validation workshop to validate the Impact Assessment Report on Previous IGAD-SSP Interventions including Inventories of Rendered Capacity Development Tasks and the Achievements held on 29-31 March 2022.
24 March 2022, Entebbe-Uganda: The IGAD Security Sector Program (IGAD SSP) has successfully concluded a three-days national training on The Role of Technology and Social Media Platforms as Recruitment Tools by Terrorist Networks and the Challenges for Security Institutions for Uganda senior officials held on 22-24 March 2022.
