29^th Nov - 1^st Dec 2015, Djibouti- The Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) Security Sector Program (SSP) in partnership and collaboration with Global Counter Terrorism Forum (GCTF) organized a three (3) days training in Human Rights and Counterterrorism as a Good Practice in Investigation and Prosecution of Terrorism Cases in the Horn and Eastern Africa Region.

29^th -30^th October 2015-Nairobi, Kenya - ISSP organized a two days workshop to validate the study on the Regional Assessment and Mapping of Radicalization and Violent Extremism in the IGAD Region.

26^th -28^th October 2015-Nairobi, Kenya - The IGAD Security Sector Program (ISSP) in partnership and collaboration with Global Counter Terrorism Forum (GCTF) organized a three (3) days training in counter terrorism.

Nairobi, September 15, 2015 - The Intergovernmental Authority on Development's (IGAD's) Security Sector Program (SSP) in partnership with the Institute for Security Studies (ISS) and the African Union (AU), is holding a two days workshop to enhance the implementation of UN Resolutation 1540 and other non-proliferation instruments for all IGAD member States.

The Intergovernmental Authority on Development’s (IGAD’s) Security Sector Program (ISSP) would like to express its deepest condolences to the tragic death of Ms. Joan Kagezi, the Senior State Principal Attorney of Uganda. 

Ms. Kagezi has been working with ISSP in the capacity of an expert and resource person in the various activities of the Office. She was professional, sociable, and candid in sharing her vast experience and knowledge.

ISSP wishes to express its condolences to her family, her friends, and the Government. The IGAD region surely lost a great professional who was committed in fighting criminals and those with ill intentions. May her soul rest in eternal peace!
